I can see the point that Robert was making.

You can't get something for nothing.

If you're going to induce a force to lift
one wing, the price is drag.

It's the law, regardless of what kind of
wing you're flying.

The downgoing wing is losing lift, so it
is producing less drag.

Or so it seems to me.

I'm not an aerodynamicist.  And I'm not much
of a pattern pilot, either.  :-O
