[NSRCA-discussion] 1010C and 210V data link cable

Walter, do you know what version the charger is at now?  Most of the 2.x+ versions seem very stable at least for me.  Some of the ones before that were less so.  Upgrading as Jay suggests may help you if its an old version (not sure if you got it new or used?)

The 250A cables should solve any data link failure, the older ones (just 250) would fail and cause problems.

Also I have noticed that the little clip on the data cable connector is easily broken off so the connector doesn't lock in, maybe you just have intermittent contact.

If it becomes annoying to the point of impeding with charging I just don't bother connecting the data cable at all, and use the balancer stand alone.  It will still alarm if something goes haywire, just won't shut down the charger, so its good to be within earshot of it.  Had to do this a couple years back on early versions that would trip the charger regularly.

btw, Saskatoon as AC at their field so no problems charging :)  I just hope their electrical panel can handle a dozen chargers :)

Chad
