Hey Mark,
If we're talking about F3-P planes on up to about 16 oz I use a rubber band. I get them by the bag at WalMart.
You have to double or triple the twists but they work really good and don't dry rot and break after sitting like the
purpose bought ones do.

While we’re on the o-ring subject, any one have a good part number for the o-rings we use to hold props on the foamy’s?-MOn 7/14/08 8:39 AM, "John Konneker" <jlkonn at hotmail.com> wrote:

-------------- Original message -------------- From: John Konneker <jlkonn at hotmail.com> I got the McMaster Carr ones this evening. They are NOT the same as the originals but they may work. The McMC's are slightly larger ID and OD when compared up against what came with the 821 muffler. But, when you put it in the muffler it compresses it down to the same friction feel as the Hatori.I am going to run it tomorrow and see how it does.Joe Dunnaway has some US dimensioned "O" rings that work. He will get ahold of a measuring device in the nextday or two and let us know what the measurements are.JLK

-------------- Original message -------------- From: "Richard Lewis" <humptybump at sbcglobal.net> I bought 9464K67 from McMasterViton O-Ring, 5/8 x 7/8 (Actual 0.609 I.D. and 0.887 O.D.) They are somewhat harder than the original, but the size seems perfect.I’m using it now, but only have about 10 flights on it. So far so good, no evidence of leaks at all. These also fit the MK tailwheel hub nicely..:)We looked up the metric ones, but I did not think any of the metric dims were close enough…Let us know how the metrics work out for you.Richard Lewis

Can someone direct me to a source (or several) for replacement o-rings to connect the Hatori 821 short pipe to the Hatori 822 header? Central is out of the authentic Hatori O-rings and won’t have more for a while. Is there another source, or a suitable replacement available?
