[NSRCA-discussion] D3 VP - Thank You Guys

All,

I would like to add my congratulations to Gary for receiving the
appointment. While not appointed, I feel honored by the people who
supported my effort and philosophy by sending letters on my behalf, and
I give my sincere thanks to them. Many wrote and several spoke to the
biases or other issues that need to be addressed in our district. One
of the main ideas I want to carry forward is increasing transparency in
our contests and organization.

For those that supported me, I will add what I have been told about this
particular NSRCA Board vote. The board was given contact information
for each of the candidates and asked to contact each one. The only
person to call or email me was Derek. Thank you for the call Derek. In
this appointment process, I was not asked to submit an official
platform. I did though request to speak to the board members prior to
the vote and was not allowed an opportunity to do so.

The one dimension of leadership that is always appreciated is
honesty/transparency/fairness. Small events or decisions may happen in
a vacuum, but the effects and results do not. Gary has my fullest
support moving forward and I hope we can right the ship and reinvest
those within our own ranks before they find other ways to spend their
time.

Sincerely,

Jim W.

Subject: [NSRCA-discussion] D3 VP

The NSRCA board voted this past weekend to select Gary Courtney to
complete the remainder of Lamar Blair's term as D3 VP. We received
interest from 3 qualified candidates and received a number of email
messages from various D3 members giving their support to each of the
candidates. Thank you to all the candidates for stepping up and making
yourselves available to help steer D3 in the right direction. The
spirit of volunteerism is alive and well!

Please give Gary your support and please feel free to talk to Gary or
any of the board members about your concerns about the NSRCA or D3 in
particular.

Thank you to all.
