[NSRCA-discussion] Ball bearing clevis'

I quit tapping the hard points. I drill undersize so the thread is form when
the stud is screwed in and secure it with thin CA, which wicks into the wood
and hardens it as well.

Great I'll pick some up this weekend. That will look nice than a bolt too
since you won't see the head. I've already tapped the hard points for 6-32
so I'll use that. Do you guys epoxy the studs in or just rely on the threads
in the hard point and a jam nut?
Actually what I also meant to ask was exactly which clevis' do you use.
They're listed as 2-56, 4-40 and 6-32 but I'll end up with 6-32 "control
horns" and 4-40 pushrods. Do you just use the 4-40 size so they fit the
pushrod ends and drill / tap the other part for the 6-32 studs?

I developed an understanding years ago that bolts are hardened and may
eventually break.
Ive use all thread rod from hardware store for el, rud, ail horns with no
problem.

I'm thinking about using ball-bearing clevis' on a new airplane. What is
everyone using for 6-32 bolts through the surface and 4-40 pushrod threads?
Also - what's the best thing to use on the control surfaces? 6-32 screws or
threaded rod? I remember hearing that one or the other wasn't good because
it was too brittle and it could braek.
