Nat, I think they are all versions of the A123 series. They weigh more, and have 0.2 to 0.3volts less per cell. They are a little cheaper, but most mfgs. are so loaded with new tools that they have no interest in planes/weight for now. A123 does sell them as RC car batteries, but not packaged for planes. Give them a little time and after the first push goes by they will start looking at the plane market. I hear a new company is getting started in the manufacturing phase this year sometime.

  A recent Lowe's Building flyer was advertising four brands of 18.5v hand drills. One specified lipoly ( or lion ), the other three just said charge in one hour. Are we missing something ?  Nat
