And there are converter DVI to HDMI plugs available and work well.  G4.5 has a little higher resolution so you can see the airplane 'out there' on turnarounds easier...  Monster is pretty proud of their cables and adapters, though...  I think 'S' video is still used, works OK and those cables aren't outrageously priced.

With the plain vga connector I can't get a full screen or the higher resolutions.  With the HDMI input from tthe DVI output of the video card (some cards have hdmi output) you can get the higher resolutions and full screen.  You will probably need a USB extension cord from your transmitter to be able to stand in front of the monitor though.
