Give Flying Models a try http://www.flying-models.com/
They cover a broad range of interests and the pattern articles are second to
none.

It's to bad about R/C report i still have a subscription to model airplane
news but am waiting patiently for it to expire. Oh well with less magazines
showing up at my house there will be less fire hazards. I learned quite alot
of very practical information. I guess when this all shakes down i will only
be getting Model Aviation.

Perhaps the format that Model Airplane News uses (mixture of print and
online content) is a way to go. Despite some disadvantages, I still like
printed media. I don't have online access in my bathroom (yet)!

I think it goes much deeper Tony..

In the 'old days' people used to get their information about new
products from magazines. In today's world, by the time something hits the
magazine print, it's already been discussed in detail for the past 3 months
on the internet forums. The print media cannot deliver the instant
distribution
that electronic forums can.

To be honest, I'm more than a bit shocked there is still ANY life in the
print media.
