If he moves up for this contest, at the d-3 championships points are
awarded 1.5X the normal he could possibly be over taken for the dist
champion award I know there are a lot of sportsman gunning for your
friend, something to think about.

Subject: [NSRCA-discussion] ASAP District points question
Hi All,
I have a friend here that has been cleaning up in Sportsman so I
suggested
that he start practicing Intermediate and maybe fly it in the next 2
contests. Well, his practice has been paying off cause he is flying
Intermediate well enough to compete this weekend in Jacksonville. Here's
the
problem. He was told that if he moves up for this last contest he will
lose
all his points in Sportsman.
Is there a rule that states when you move up a class at some point
during
the year (before the end of the year) you lose all the years points
previous
to the contest flown? It's the last contest of the year so he could fly
Sportsman, but he doesn't really want to. I don't want him to lose his
Sportsman points that he's earned all year just for one contest, but he
wants the extra challenge.
Regards,
Jason
