Just got rested up from the trip.

All I can say is "wow"!

I can only imagine the work that went into putting that thing on. The contest was fantastic. The night fly was like something out of "Apocalypse Now", especially that one time Dennis Bodary got LIT UP. That whole field turned to daylight. LOL

It was fantastic to see all of the D4 and Chicago gang. I rarely get to fly with any of these guys except in Muncie. getting to hang out and chat with Andrew a bit was really cool too, that is a super guy....and he can FLY. I'm certain he'll do our team proud. NO DOUBT.

Thanks to Mark Atwood and Bob Pannell for putting on a great show! I appreciated the 6 rounds of practice, I sorely needed it. Now if I can remember to fly the right manuever, I'll be all set =) (Sleep might help?)

Anyways, that was awesome, thanks for having us up!!!

   Had a great time. We had 33 flyers with a nice attendance from the from the Mike Hester contingency less Dean. The weather sure was better than last year. 
   Thanks to the Flying Cardinals member for hosting us. Mark, Bob and Amy thanks for all your hard work. 
   It was a real treat to see Andrew fly. He's pure talent and a nice guy too which is a rare combination. Great to meet Geoff Combs. He flew with almost no practice and its clear why he used to be the top flyer in the midwest and he still has the skills to be a threat. To bad he didn't place well due to engine problems. All in all a great way to end our pattern season up here.                            Mike Mueller
