[NSRCA-discussion] Cars

Dennis,
Yeah baggers are cool - I just don't have one (yet). I have a slight loss of hearing in my right ear too but it wasn't from my bike - it was from a Marshall full stack! My Sporty still has goose-neck drags (I LOVE that sound) but my Low Rider is pretty civilized (mufflers and disk brakes). I ride the Low-Rider more than the Sporty now. Hmm, what does that mean? <LOL>

That's OK John, you don't have to have a trunk. You just won't be able to get one of those small cars in it. My point being that when you get to my age you will enjoy the ride in your easy chair down the highway. I no longer enjoy the loud sound of the pipes (loss of hearing in the right ear) and the hard ride of the rigid frame. I rather enjoy the sound of the stereo in the headphones and the enjoyment of the landscape. Hope we meet on the road sometime.

I have seen some show up to a pattern contest in cars small enough to fit in the trunk of my Harley with their gear. I choose the full size 8ft. box pickup with canopy, which leaves room for a friend and his gear. On a non-flying day, you can actually carry something in the back like two tons of pellets.

This message all the way from San Diego where the wild fires are looming. (safe in my motel)

    FYI - You can fit:

    3 2-meter airplanes

    2 foamies

    3 adults

    2 transmitters

    1 flight box

    1 tool box

    1 case of fuel

    1 10x10 canopy tent

    2 chairs

    2 suitcases

    1 cooler

    and

    1 12-pack of Bass Ale

in a Grand Caravan with Stow-N-Go. AND you'll still get about 24 Mpg on the highway. Now for the bad part: you'll have to deal with the "Soccer mom" jokes from your flying buddies... <LOL>
