[NSRCA-discussion] Lipo Battery Connection Concoction Question

I'm just getting into the larger electric motor set ups and have acquired
several large 3 cell and 4 cell lipos.  My plan is to connect two of the 3
cell lipos in series to create a 6 cell package.  I have the same plan for
my 4 cell lipos to make an 8cell package.  Here are my questions (bear with
me, my EE classes were a long time ago):  

 

1:  How close must the mAh ratings be when connecting several in series?

2:  How close must the cell count (voltage)  be when connecting several in
series"

 

I would like to know if I could connect a 4000mAh 3cell lipo with a  5000mAh
4cell lipo (in series)?

 

I do not want to overheat my giga-connecting-rubicle or fry one of my
ampometer tendons in the process!
