Try paint stripper. There used to be a product called ZBest engine
cleaner, which was nothing more than repackaged paint stripper. This is
the gelled type of stripper that contains methylene chloride. It will
remove all the varnish and goo in a few minutes.

If con rod is stuck on wrist pin, you can try laying engine on
it;s head, and filling piston with laquer

might move further.

I don't know about that motor, but on many motors you
have to remove the sleeve so you can get the piston/con rod assembly to
move enough toward the back of the motor to get the con rod off the
crankshaft.

Has anyone replaced the bearings in their OS 120
Ax? What's the trick? I've done plenty of bearings but this one is
different. After removing everything, including the sleeve, I can't
slide the rod far enough back to get it off the crankpin. The pin boss
in the piston is too narrow to allow the rod to slide far enough. If
anyone has done this already I'd appreciate any insight. Thanks!
