I'm using an old Sullivan with 2 1500 7.2v car packs very portable and can be charged at the field so far no problem with the extra voltage. It turns everything I have including a 1.8 Moki.

Hi Richard,
I am using now the Sullivan Dynatrom with 12 cell NiCad battery pack. It works great with the OS 160. I am not sure with the YS 160 but I will know soon.

I think some of the starter's power is governed by what battery is behind it. I've been using an old Sullivan for eons and with a light ni-cad pack it would hardly get out of its own way--strapped to a gel-cell, it has started everything up to a and including a 2C 1.70 with relative ease.

Ron Van Putte turned me on to a Maxx Prod starter a few years ago to replace my Sullivan. It has turned over everything I've put it on up to a 1.60 DZ.
E-mail Ron and ask him about them.

I need to replace a starter. It will be used on an OS 140RX, among others. Any suggestions? I looked at a K.... but it said .60 2cy. If you don't want to endorse products on the 'net then please email me direct.
