[NSRCA-discussion] YS1.40FZ Prop Size for a Focus

Actually I would suggest the 15.5-12W and maybe a 16.5-12W if your FZ is turning that much awesome. You might see the noise go up a little with the 17-10N, but it will work fine. Another option is to use your 16-12 you have and ATV it back to about 8600. It will run awesome at this setup and will be super quiet too. 9000 is probably the absolute limit in my mind. But I would not hesitate to run it there knowing that this summer when it gets Southern Hot and Humid it will be down a couple hundred RPMS.

This is similar to what I'm doing on the 170.

Ok I installed the 1.40FZ into the Focus with the NMP header and Extention. 699 Muffler with YS plug 30% CP heli and a APC 16x12.

Temp is 72 and humidity is 59%. Set the idle and needled it close then grabed the tach and I have 9,000 rpm, tomorrow I'll try the 17x10n. Troy will scold me if I run it at 9k. :)

    I'm using 16x11 prop. Perfect for 140.

Because the 1.60 is headed back to YS service yet again. One short flight after the last trip out there. Iâ?Tve never had problems with YS engines before this one. Spent 2 hrs yesterday trying to get it to run.

I am changing the YS1.60 in my Focus to OFBâ?Ts YS1.40FZ and was wondering if anyone had an idea what the best prop was? Using CP 30% heli fuel.

BTW I got the landing gear as well J
