[NSRCA-discussion] Looking for a YS part and measurement

Joe, if I could trouble you for one more measurement ?? . The top of the
sleeve where the head gasket sits ( flanged area ) , what is that outside
diameter ??.
I like to tinker and have access to machine tools so what I want to do is
take a YS 140L and install a 160 DZ piston/sleeve/ring in it. The
connecting rod lengths and crankshaft stroke are the same between the 140
and 160's so it looks like I need to bore the 140 crankcase .0495" to fit
the 160 sleeve in the crankcase. However, if the flange part of the 160
sleeve is a lot bigger than the 140's ( the machined sealing surface in the
cylinder head where the head gasket is ) , opening up the cylinder head for
the flange may be much more difficult.
Thanks for all your help.......Ed.
