The 85HV is plenty of ESC for 2M pattern.  Quite a few were used at the NATs
this year.  Some of the newer lipos (including those you mentioned) are
capable of 100 amp bursts, but you won't likely find 100 amp setups the best
for pattern.  Most pattern setups are ranging from 60 - 80 amps..with the
average probably being in the low to mid 70s.

Hi, All,

 

I am trying to find out if the Castle Creations' Phoenix 85HV will be enough
if used for 2m plane with TP 5000 Extreme or FP5350 10S packs.  Motor will
be one of the current ones such as Axi, Hacker, Plettenberg, Neu, or
E-Flite.

 

How much do your E-setup pull?
