[NSRCA-discussion] Landing Gear Question

The Bolly F3A Long gave me plenty of clearance for my Partner and Genesis
with a 22" prop. Mounting location can obviously have an impact on that. On
my Partner where I had some control over the location, I used 3" wheels and
have 2" of clearance with the plane propped up to a level take-off attitude.
I never measured the Genesis which has a fixed landing gear mounting point,
but I think the clearance is slightly less, maybe 1.75" or so. I fly off of
a rough grass field. On pavement, you can use the sexy little wheels and
wheel pants.

Hope this helps...

Verne
