Yes, I know Brett well and he is no fool. Did you see where 5 of the 8 Masters Finalists are from? He did the smart thing to skip over us all!

Only kidding, but man our local contests are tough! What a great week!!

Back on the thread of this. QQ's smile was ear to ear on the announcement. With all his experience, he was as excited as first timer Andrew Jesky. It is an inspiration that this team has this much positive enthusiasm.

Just back home now and need to sleep.

One doesn't need to be a citizen, only a permanent resident status. Quique qualifies as a permanent resident and will represent the US in November. It's ironic that Quique's first US team will fly in his home country of Argentina.

One great benefit will be the fact of expert local knowledge. Speaking with him after the Final results were in, he is already planning where the guys will practice when they get there, where to eat and stay, etc. This will be a tremendous help especially to the team rookie, AndrewJesky. And BTW, Andrew flew extremely well and deserved his finish as did Quique and Jason (and first alternate, Sean). Tim Jesky was as proud as any pop could possibly be.

Another newcomer to the biggest stage we have in our sport was Brett Wickizer. This is yet another youngster making a strong bid (who has been winning against F3A veterans in D6, arguably the toughest test we have today in any of the districts). It is great to see. If he stays with us for some time, I see him on the team soon. Very smooth and polished with exceptional geometry.

Truth be known, all Finalists flew extremely well in relative benign conditions Saturday. I found myself wishing for more wind so it would have been easier to differentiate the group.

Are the top three US citizens the US team?
