I just got an Integral. How did you get to 10lb 8oz? I thought these things
were coming out at under 10lb for 2-stroke engines/OS?

I'm still deliberating about going to YS for this plane but after the
glowing report about 9.5lb performane I am tempted to stick to the reliable OS.

Colin, without the additional weight on the fire wall the integral finished
at 9 lb 10 oz
I added 9 oz of lead on the fire wall to bring the CG forward to my taste. I
felt I was chasing the model instead of flying it I added heavier silicone
couplers because the airflow through the tunnel was not enough to keep the
silicone cool enough. Teflon couplers would make it much lighter. I added
baffles around the engine to keep the cylinder head cooler. I am running an OS
1.40 and an Aeroslave pipe. Even with the extra weight I have plenty of power to
spare. I do suggest trying to use a push rod system for the elevator to get
the weight out of the Stab. If I move the servos out of the Stab I will not
need the extra 9 oz.

It is a very nice model and I am very happy with it overall. I am not happy
with the servos in the stab.

Carl
