Wooops...sorry Pete...Nat is right as usual, the freezer will work if you haven't mixed it, but you have.I guess I should read before I shoot off!
We have stuck it (Methanol) in a minus 80 freezer before. But yes the oil is Glycol(?) based ?

Sorry for being a Dufus. I'll now crawl back in my box

Peter you should try the fuel as is first. You can't hurt the engine. You may need to filter it. It was reported by one of the engine gurus sometime back that our fuel ran stronger with a considerable amount of water present - I think up to 20%. You can keep us informed. Besides you may have trouble finding a low enough temperature to freeze it now that you have antifreeze in it <G>. Nat

Peter,

Stick it in the freezer. The water will freeze, just skim it off.

Tom

I have 4 gallons of 30% nitro fuel which was mixed with bad Methanol (unknown at the time) the rest of the ingredients were fine.

I am assuming that moisture may have got the drum of methanol but I am not sure.

Is there anything I can do to recover this fuel for at least sport plane use or do I count my losses and throw it out?
