Rex,
GRIPS ??????.............It ain't gonna happen. The points of argument that you put forth always make good sense to me. Remember what I always say, I learn a lot more when I'm wrong than when I'm right. No slam from this quarter. You're way too smart.
Just don't expect me to agree with everything everytime first time.
I love this stuff.
G.

You scare me... Vehemently? Remind me not to get into grips with you!!!! You've got too much in the "store".... lol
I'd spend too much time using the dictionary, just to try to figure out if you were slamming me or not!!!!

Now Fred ! Don't you go and get all ticked off and leave this list.
I've been in this hobby for a long period of time and consider myself relatively well informed, but I find that there is always a constant flow of new information being put forth by members of this group, including you, that consistantly adds to my store of information and in many cases reinforces something that I previously knew and get reminded of. I would not want to be cheated out of being a recipient of this vast resource and if you left I would definetely feel a loss, so don't do it. I have found many of your insights to be highly valuable additions to my storehouse.
Over the many years that I have been a subscriber to this list I have employed the basic principle that we "agree to disagree" and sometimes vehemently, but realize that others feel just as passionately about different aspects of the sport as I do.
I realize that I'm never going to change anything here, but the opportunity to express my viewpoint and yes to sometimes even vent a little is a shared priviledge we extend to each other with some restraint to keep things from becoming overly turbulent.
With all that said, keep on being Fred because you still have many good things to teach us and we need to learn to be listeners, even if we're not always good ones.
Respectfully,
Georgie

When someone who actually does start trying to fly Sportsman tries to give input on how to attract more people to Sportsman... the Elitist snobs who are flying Maters would rather nitpick on technicalities than listen to the real issue the relative beginner to the sport is trying to address.
You ARE Elitists...
"Your plane must not be good enough... get a better one" IS NOT the correct response to a beginner to Sportsman saying the new sequence requires more performance than the old sequence.
You want to attract people... you are certainly doing the EXACT wrong thing. And when its pointed out... you attack the messenger for telling you about it.
I'm about ready to scrape the NSRCA logos off my model...
