I flew an inverted OS 61 Hanno when I was in Sportsman. On the first start
or the day I had to remove the plug and blow it out, give the engine a bump
with the starter, reinstall plug and fly the rest of the day. I had to do
this no matter which driver I used.

That should read....
burn off the oil , not burn off the wet !
and
Even with the power to 4 or 5 amps it can't burn off
enough oil/fuel to make the engine start
