For what it's worth, I received the Central starter today. The starter
is from Cermark (according to the packaging) and it seems to be well
designed with good fit and finish. Of course time will tell, but it
looks good so far. It's surprisingly heavy for it's size. The radio
says the high tomorrow will be 0 to -5F so it will get a workout if I
can sneak out long enough to get a few flight in.
I've got a Kavan coming as well and I'll just keep one as a spare. Long
story short I was very frustrated because I couldn't fly during a rare
week off for lack of a starter...
