1.. Don, that is a superb presentation of the patterns. The one question I have, as a Sportsman, is the distance out penalties. I noticed that there is a deduction for "Maneuver flown too far out to make evaluation of maneuver difficult, or flown beyond 175 meters". Does this imply that if you have a small plane that you should fly closer? What exactly does "Turnaround maneuvers partially out of the box - within 150 meter line" mean?
