No.  The FCC allows this change without re-certification in the case of
2.4Ghz.  The re-certification is only for 72 and 75 Mhz.  Therefore any
company can come out with modules for any radio manufacturer without their
approval.

I believe that's true IF the Spektrum people type certify their module in
each Futaba and JR transmitter it is intended for.  It is my understanding
that each transmitter/module combination is another 'type'.

Would AMA void insurance if I'd use SPECTRUM module in my FUTABA radio?

That was the case when Hitec came out with SPECTRA module, it works great on
FUTABA, but since FUTABA won't approve it, this is against FCC rules and AMA
void insurance.
