[NSRCA-discussion] SPECKTRUM Modules for Futaba and JR

AMA is irrelevant in this case. If the FCC approves it, its approved.
FCC did NOT approve Hitec modules in Futaba transmitters, hence the
problem. Futaba had no say about the FCC approval or lack thereof, nor
did AMA. AMA just says "use what FCC approves, and our insurance will
cover it".

No....  A system that is FCC approved is acceptable to the AMA.

Would AMA void insurance if I’d use SPECTRUM module in my FUTABA radio?

That was the case when Hitec came out with SPECTRA module, it works
great on FUTABA, but since FUTABA won’t approve it, this is against FCC
rules and AMA void insurance.
