Correct. Well kind of. Actually all of our servos are analog but you are right, the super servos used the same principles as our modern "digital" servos.

I have used the coreless 7000 series super servos (both the 7000 and 7005) for years with very good results. Even though they are not digital they are very accurate and seem to have good holding power.
