[NSRCA-discussion] Vacuum Bagging

I got mine from Aerospace Composites about 10 years ago and it works great. I use the nylon sleeves to bag my wings in the shucks. They have a handy clip system that seals the sleeves on each end. I've been using the same two sleeves I started with (one for stabs/rudder and one for wings). I accidentally put a little slice in my stab tube and a piece of clear 3M packing tape fixed it. Make sure to put a little weight on top before you apply the vacuum so your wing doesn't end up banana-shaped. There's a tendency to pull the tip and root upward slightly with vacuum. A little weight takes care of it. They provide a handy sheet with all the info you'll need.

I am thinking of buying a vacuum bagging system. What is the recommend vacuum for sheeting a foam core wing? Any tips or info sources?
