OR, 35 years of regular, old, boring pattern flying, in so called hushed tones. Same results BUT much less efficient I admit.

Ya know, you could save a LOT of money on stereo equipment if you just run a nelson on the quickee circuit for a season...

Vinyl is still MUCH better than any CD. Also one must have tubes for the warmth that transistors can never match.

Try a set of Accustats (I prefer the model 3’s) or a set of Dhalquist EQ10’s with Conrad Johnson PV5 Preamp and a set of threshold amps with a Sota turn table. Add a Premier arm and a shinnon red cartridge.

Sounds like Gov'Ment job to me. Joe is sitting back, giggling, tickled pink at his Gov'ment job

If you can get an unadulterated signal to a Denon driving a pair of JBL L7's, you will get amazing HiFi. Generating an unadulterated signal is the trick and, in theory anyway, extraction with light is better than any scratched vinyl could even be, and I don't care how fine a needle you used

Where can I find a job like that!

Yeah, I call the new guys at work who have them, "The IPOD Deaf Generation".

Shame youth today will never experience Hi Fidelity and the warmth of the sound you get from a good turntable, tube amplifier and a high end speaker system

Hey Ron!

I got some great replies.

I knew I would from this great bunch of guys!

Here's one link that someone suggested:

http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/learningcenter/home/ipod/how_to_choose.html

It helped me a bunch.

Thanks to all!
