[NSRCA-discussion] What happened to: auditing a class rule?

Didn't we have a rule that let a person test the waters for one contest? I never did it but seem to remember it being discussed in the past. Can't find it in the rulebook. Was it removed? Maybe it should be reinstated and expanded?

Subject: Re: [NSRCA-discussion] Advancement
Come to think about it, I have never in recent times seen or heard of a sandbagger.
I stated my case earlier.
I agree with Anthony drop it altogether.
All pilots will eventually reach the level that satisfies their goals, any other method will not meet everyone's personal requirements.
Forced advancement serves no good personal purpose.
Letting a person test the waters in a higher class and move back if he finds that it is not for him can do no harm in my opinion.
