Yes... all over the city but if the wind blows the fire will jump over those
breaks - and those breaks are usually about 15 yards wide.  Unfortunately
this is fire season for us so this is not uncommon.  This is the 2nd one
this year in my town.

Scary!
Much of our local Fire Department activity at this time of year involves
woods & grass fires. 
In your area do they ever do fire breaks with plows?

As you can see the fire came very close to Corinne's house (my ex-wife) - it
was stopped by the fire department within 70 yards or so of the back fence.
