Dang Steve has to be one of the smartest things you've said. Hope to see you at the Comair contest.

I'm sure I'll step on toes here but has been needed to be said for a long time. The list is a great place to exchange ideas and thoughts to pattern, but how many times have we seen someone that isn't active or just starting want to change how the active do things, I've seen everything from a person that has never flown a contest want us to fly only scale planes, to people that has only flown a few contest in 3 or 4 years and generally at the sportsman level that wants to change the whole system that has evolved over the 40+ years. Seems like theres to much typing and not enough practicng, more flying will make you better not changeing the rules to fit your personal goals, can't tell how many have said they delete so many messages because of the writers content. The good things most of the KNOW IT ALLs are generally gone in a couple of years which leaves us back to the active which compete and enjoy that experience of pattern flying.

I know theres many who agree with this and some will be offended but it's all true no real slams just truth.
