I remember my first trip to the flying field. My dad said "Lets take a ride"
we ended up at the flying field and I saw my first radio controlled airplane
fly. Man that was the biggest airplane I'd ever seen!!!!!!!!

It was a Rudder Elevator .049 Cessna look alike. It was mostly white and red
and shiny all over. I drooled all over myself that day. :-)

A few days later my Dad brought that airplane home as the guy flying it was
military and had shipped out giving it to me. I still have that airplane.

I must have been 8-9 years old, I was hooked from then on. That was 40
years ago.

I still remember it like it was yesterday.

Have you flown RC for more than 30 years?? Have you ever looped and rolled
an airplane with just rudder control? :-)

Bob,

What are the qualifications for an old fart? I just submitted my membership
application to AARP this month. Do I qualify?
