[NSRCA-discussion] copy judging video

If you own the tape, you can legally copy it to DVD for your own use.

So, I can make the DVD for the District 6 session, giving it to whoever owns the tape. (since they want to use a computer and a computer presentation projector)

Or, maybe just play the DVD through my computer's TV tuner card into the projector. (but then I'd need the software for the projector... and might have to deal with conflicting hardware requirements... A mess usually, but not always avoided by "Plug and Pray")

I will make NO copys for distrbution.

(As I sit and prep to transfer another OLD VHS tape from my collection to a DVD...)

  Rusty,

I've already talked to the AMA - until they finish up their supply of VHS tapes they do not want to make DVD's...

  NSRCA List,

The AMA has been very supportive of the NSRCA, specifically AMA Ultimate Video Series volume 8 and 9 which feature over 13 minutes of NSRCA stuff...

I have a very good relationship with Tom Schwynn, AMA Marketing Director, who would probably be happy to offer the AMA judging video in the DVD format.

Do we want the video on DVD? Please let me know and I will ask.

I would certainly hope the AMA joins the current generation soon and puts something out in DVD format.

The current word from AMA is not to allow copying the tape. It may change but that is the current word.
