All I know for sure, at this point in time, is the grain structure is too large in the IG. I returned it to CST and it still cost me $95 for two way frt and packaging.

Northern Fibre Glass Sales' web site shows the HF grade having very fine cell structure. The chart does not mention cell structure on the other grades. It's possible there is an intermediate structure that would be ok - but I havent been able to find out. No one knows anything and time is running.

NFGS is getting me a quote from ROHM. I'm holding my breath. In all of the samples I have, circa 1988, there is no mention of grade, except for high temp. The samples have a georgeous grain structure and fairly high opacity. Things must have changed !! If I knew German it's probably availiable from a Euro hobby shop. A lot of those folks use it. Nat

Why do you want HF? That is for antennas/radomes only because when hot it does not outgass things that can corrode copper and such. IG means industrial grade, which is standard. An HF order would be shipped from Germany and you pay for it, and one sheet is a minumum, and that sheet is 4' X 10'. That one sheet of HF will most likely cost you $1000.

I'm looking for Rohacell 51, grade HF. CST only has the IG, industrial grade. Need 2' x 4' ( or 4' x 4' )x 2mm sheets. Any help appreciated.
