Has anyone heard anything concrete on the Airtronics doing the same?

Reportedly there was a demonstration where the new radio was used in a turbine powered model... and to demonstrate range he did vertical roll to almost out of sight high. (little bitty speck)

The future is here (almost... as I noted... Due in Dec... which means they are probably getting ready to load them on the boat.)

With this and the 6 ch... The plug-in module that is in the works to change any of the module based Futaba, Hitech and JR radios to 2.4 ghz.... It adds up to we may be getting rid of the frequency boards at flying fields as the 72 mhz systems age. Polks Hobbies has indicated plans to follow with a spread spectrum radio also.

the Spread spectrum RX's are a bit heavy for some of the indoor electrics where the GWS 4p and similar RX's are appropriate.... So 72 mhz will still have a home for a while.

"big gas-powered IMAC planes"? Does this mean that we have left the realm of the park flyer and have the range necessary for, perhaps, pattern?
