[NSRCA-discussion] 2007 Master turnaround question

I thought 2 of 4 was... straight entry, 1/4 roll, short pause, 1/4 roll. exit.

IN the case of a splitS... the "normal" 1/2 roll has no straight afterward... As soon as the roll stops, the pull starts.

That would say TO ME...

SplitS with 2/4 would be no pause after the second 1/4... immediate pull.

*******

But then I also know that the ORIGINAL "Immelman" was closer to a botched 1/2 Cuban...

Diving a bit... pull, as you approach inverted kick rudder and ailerons to "sorta snap... sorta roll..." and about the time the wings are level... nose is down 30 to 40 deg.

Because that was the performance level of the aircraft Immelman flew when he started its use in combat.

We would now judge that as about a 1.... or a 0 if done as an Immelman in competition.

To have a 2/4, you need to have two line segments of equal length (obviously with a roll in-between!) Once the second line segment has been completed, the loop begins immediately. Does this answer your question?

In the new schedule for masters is a split S with a 2/4 before the half loop.

Question is the half loop right after the second roll or is the second point defined before the loop?

    Thanks,

    Stuart
