It's been at the EAA convention (Oshkosh) since the 70s.  I found it tricky but it does work.  Just like all of the kitchen gadgets you see demonstrated at various shows, the guy doing the demo is an expert with the product.

  The product has been around a LONG time.  first time I saw it was at an RV show/sale event appx 30 years ago.

  VERY careful cleaning of the metal to be joined is needed.  Stainless steel brush is mandatory.

  There's a bit of a trick to getting the stuff to work, but once you have it figured out it does a decent job on stuff that doesn't get hot.  I have not tried it on an exhaust.
