I always used the spray can type. No problem except the color match to the
film was off at times.

I've had uneven results with UltraCote paint - once it went on great and
stayed put even with raw 22% fuel... another application it never dried
completely at all and Windex would remove it.
Guessing the difference has something to do with application technique and
letting it cure, but don't know what the right procedure is.

UltraCoat paint is not very fuel proof at all. I would clear coat it with
Lustercaot clear or a automotive type clearcoat.

Are you sure that the Ultracoat paint isn't already fuel proof? I have used
it several times and as I remember, it is.

A friend of mine covered his plane with Ultracote & painted the cowl with
matching Ultracote paint. What can he use to clear coat the cowl to make it
fuel proof? Also what paint can he use to trim both the cowl & the covering?
