I designate you as the tester of this manuever-you can do it straight. It
looked really cool, but is it hard? I expect a report back this time next
week.

Make it into a rolling circle! <G>

Nah…he had it right. You reverse roll direction each time. ¾ right, 5/4
left, ¾ right, 5/4 left…or the opposite. It’s a cool maneuver…just not
sure there’s enough box…

3/4 + 5/4 = 8/4 =2 which would be upright, not inverted... 3/4 + 3/4
would be 6/4 = 1.5 which is inverted... so it probably was 3/4 of a roll
for each point.

I just went to the Fort Worth airshow and I saw a maneuver that is so cool
that some class above me needs to adopt it.
I am going to try to remember how it went.....it is a 4 point roll
from straight flight
3/4 roll right to knife edge (belly of the plane)
5/4 roll left to inverted
3/4 roll right to knife edge (top of the plane)
5/4 roll to upright.
Anyone ever see this and does it have a name. I may have gotten it
slightly wrong, as it took me by surprise. It was Frank Ryder and the
Oreck vacuum cleaner powered plane-Cyclone.
