[NSRCA-discussion] Tee in fuel line for OS140 ?

On my OS 1.40 setups I use two lines.
Feed line goes out the fuse through a hole(fuel dot exit) to a 90 degree tee.
Vent line goes to a fuel dot but has a one way valve as it exits the fuel tank. You have to remove the fuel dot on the vent line to fill. The one way valve prevents fuel from leaking out the line much like a loop around the tank would, except lighter.
When the plane is parked just swap the vent line to the feed tee and put the fuel dot in the feed line to prevent any siphoning.
When done flying just suck fuel out feed line, no need to remove fuel dot when de-fueling as one way valve vents tank.

  Jay,

No, I haven't looked the Robart 204. I prefer to use straight tubing to the carburator to minimize pressure losses in the line when ruining the engine. Also, the valve introduce another point of failure that could cause problems.

  Thanks,

Have you looked at the Robart 204 Super Fueler? I like it because it is a one way valve when open and a flow thru when shut, and doesnâ?Tt require any additional clamps, etc.

I agree. I have been doing the same but I use the 90 degree elbows outside to avoid that the carburetor get fuel pressure when fueling (no fuel dot in refueling line). I bet that you spill some fuel out of the carburetor when you are refueling. Probably you won't flood the engine but it you loose some fuel.
