Subject: [NSRCA-discussion] Foamie survey - what's your favorite?

Hi all,

Judging by the list traffic, folks must be busy building or watching
election returns or something. To get the pump primed a bit, I wanted
to ask folks what their current favorite foamie is. Note I didn't ask
the perennial "which foamie is best for pattern practice". I just want
to know what your current favorite setup is. Replies to the list please
so we can all benefit.

My favorite is a 26" span EPP foamie from http://www.slofly.com/
I've been flying it for over a year now and I love it! The plane
is set up with a http://www.gobrushless.com/ GBv kit motor (18T, 26ga,
GWS 8x4.3), HS-55 servos, phoenix 10 speed controller, GWS 4P receiver
and with a 2C 450 lipo on it the all up weight is 4.9 oz. Flys well
indoors or out, is very durable and repairable. They don't make the 26"
span kit anymore, but I've almost finished one of their 22" kits with
the same components and the weight will be very close.

Tom
