[NSRCA-discussion] Paysant-Le Roux's Oxalyis using a winglet aft of canopy???

Sorry if this has already been discussed but,
   
  I was reading the latest issue of  Model Aviation this evening and saw a picture of Christophe PAysant-LeRoux's Oxyalis with a "winglet" mounted aft of of the canopy. What is the function of this winglet? Has anyone on this list used this? Thanks..........
