Steve, That's what I'm running in my Quest 90.
1515 2Y w/6.7 Neu box, APC 21x14, 10S1P 5000 cells from Enerland (same as
the new cells from PollyQuest, Tanic). 2280 + watts static. That was on a
cool day at 95% charge. It will be higher on a warm day.
Lots of details and pics in a thread I did on RC Groups
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=512023&pp=15
I am very impressed so far. I only have about 8 flights to date, but it
certainly has more than enough power for my Quest. Full power take off is
about a 10 foot roll followed by a straight up acceleration that is awesome.
On low passes it sounds kind of like a turbine. Not bad at all.
The motor comes down barely warm, but that's mostly because I do 90% of any
flight under 1/4 throttle. It will hover at under 1/3 throttle and climbs
briskly at 1/2 throttle.
My last three flights were just about 8 -10 minutes each of mixed aerobatics
with a few short insane verticals thrown in and a couple of short hover
attempts and I put back less than 2500 mahr into the packs each time.
I got the motor, gearbox and motor mount from E-Flightline. They have been
running that motor/gear box for a while in several large planes. They are
good people to deal with. Talk to Jeff (splash).
