John,

Not yet-but it will! Takes me a little while to sort out what I’m
doing—particularly after I’ve mixed something and then something unintended
functions—or not. Thanks for the tip(s).

Richard

Richard,
Sorry, I can't post to the list because I'm at work but I read your
question. Maybe you can forward this to the list for me. If you look closely
at how the D/R is set up you'll see that you can very easily have different
expo settings for "normal" and dual-rates. I found this by accident but I
think a lot of people overlook this. If you set up your ATV at say 100% both
ways, then set your AFR for the desired Expo at high rate. Next, go into
your Dual Rate settings and set up the travel. NOW, go to the next page - I
can't remember the exact button sequence, but somewhere in there you can set
an Expo rate for the D/R when it's enabled. Before I found out about this I
assumed that once you set Expo in the AFR manu, it carried through into Dual
Rate mode (i.e. Dual rate only changed the travel not the expo curve). This
is not true. If you set the expo in the AFR menu, then don't add expo to
your Dual Rate setup, you will have NO expo when you flip the Dual Rate
switch.
Conversely, this allows you to set Dual Rates at 100% and then set up expo
ONLY. If you have no expo in AFR mode, but you do in D/R (or vise versa),
then you have an "Expo" switch. Hope this makes sense.
