    Terry,
Please e-mail me off line at burtona at bellsouth.net.
I also have an old J & J Banshee kit and would like a foam wing for it if you would cut more than one.
    Thanks,
    Dave Burton

Ed: I am not a professional foam cutter, so my charge will be just a little over the cost of materials and shipping. $30 will probably cover it!

        Hi Terry:
Sounds great, I would really apprecdiate it. Looks like Bob Richards has templates he can send. Just let me know what you want for the job.

        Thanks!

Ed: I can cut the cores for you if you have a good root and tip to send me!

Any chance you know where to get a foam core for the Banshee? I've got an original wood kit, but the wing ribs included were for the wrong model, some kind of fixed chord design.

            Thanks

              Dean,

Speaking of really old pattern stuff, I held something in my hands today that you probably have not seen in 25 years. A NIB fiberglass Banshee. :-) Funny thing was, it was a kit that I bought new about 30 years ago, and I was able to track it down through 3 other owners.

If you pick a good low-leakage Schottky diode like an MBR1100, then there won't be any problem with the diode leakage discharging the battery, and the voltage drop would leave ! you with better than 4.4V on a 5-cell pack with one open. You can buy them at Digi-Key www.digikey.com .

                later,
                Dean

Yeah, I remember seeing those ads in some REALLY old magazines. :-)

Remember the old Orbit ads with the picture of someone flying his plane and then showing the battery with one "cutaway" cell?
