Hi Del,
We had a great time in Hamburg last week. The food was good. The people
were nice. There was a lot of stuff to give away to the participants.
The Sun and the wind were there all weekend. It was great to meet
everyone after a long winter.
There was some hard landing and bush landing probably because of the
wind. There were a few dead sticks but with safe landing. Nai Lin lost
the left wing of his Icepoint on the 45 down, just before the snap or
when it entered the snap, on the 4th flight Saturday. The wing went down
very slowly and a good distance away. The rest crashed in the wood and
was only found on Sunday morning thanks to a club member. Bob Noll
damaged his Alliance on the first landing. Harry Ells had 4 dead sticks
with his YS and missed the two other rounds. There were good battle for
1st in Advanced and Master. Ron Lawrence won the raffle. A QQ Yak 54
with brushless motor, ESC and servos.
