[NSRCA-discussion] ** klipped 4 reposting ** Rainout Contests...

This is true and I for years have not attended 1 day pattern contests just
for the reason of time and expense getting their to have it rained out by
weather. At least if good dates are picked I have never had rain on both
days of a 2 day contest after flying the circuit since late 70's. So as has
been stated.. many reasons and decisions go into how to setup a contest and
was often asked why I never supported a district event and told them when
they started holding 2 day events for me would make it more viable.. For
them they had to many that did attend that could only get away one day and
felt better if whole event was done in 1 day rather than them packing only
participating in one of the 2 days.

I have been following this thread with interest . . .
. . it demonstrates how difficult, if not impossible
it is to please the majority, let alone everybody. On
the flip side of this thread, I have been asked why we
need to hold two day events. Some have asked for
Saturday only, others Sunday only ala control line
aerobatics. Family/Church/Work commitments prevent
some from attending both days of a weekend event.
