You need to do it BEFORE you turn on the airplane, which is also before the
noise test. You would have to shut off the plane, unplug the batteries and
start the process all over again to change the timing., Plus waiting for
timing mode 2 takes about 15 seconds.

Which brings up an interesting point, at least to me. What keeps one from
adjusting timing "on the fly"?

I actually ran the 21x14 on Thursday. Maybe a 20x15, but not sure if that
would make noise. I was at 94db with everyone else. Timing mode 2 would
easily blow the db readings too high.
